Past Humanitarian Efforts

Tabitha has assisted with various local and international teams that immerses into the needs of the community and around the world. Through this, several water wells have been funded and built in several countries through CoreLuv and Living Water Int'l.

"We don't just want to reach out internationally though." said Tabitha Valdez, Team Leader. "We believe that Houston is one of the most massive  fields in the world, from runaways, to homeless, to single parents, and human trafficking. We want Hope City to help bring hope to Houston."

With our diverse congregation from children, young adults, to elderly couples, and everyone in between, multiple nationalities are represented highlighting Houston's diverse population.

"We want to truly represent the face of Houston and give you a glimpse of what Heaven will look like," says Senior Pastor Jeremy Foster. "Hope City will be a haven for the broken and the lonely that have been overlooked, lost, and forgotten. From the starving artists, to the booming business professionals we all come together under the banner of hope in Jesus."

“Our hearts are for people," said Foster. "We believe that each individual has a unique purpose to fulfill and our goal is to help make that happen. We want to see generations of people impacted and ignited to spread the love of Jesus to all corners of this planet.”

The Hope City Water Project

Every 20 seconds a child dies from a water-related disease.

Hope City’s Water Project exists to fund the building of water wells and save lives by providing clean drinking water where this basic necessity DOES NOT exist.

Hope City’s Water Project funds water wells in collaboration with Living Water International, and has also collaborated with The Thirst Project in the past.

  • June of 2011: The 429 set out to help fund the building of a clean water well with the Thirst Project, for an orphanage in Bethlehem, Uganda. The completion of this water well was in September of 2011 and over 500 people are still receiving clean drinking water.

  • May of 2012: The Inagural 429 Walk for Water took place and over $5,000 was raised to fully fund our 2nd water well in the Village of Mudodo located in Tororo, Uganda, which is now providing clean drinking water to over 1,500 people!

  • April of 2013: The 2nd Annual 429 Walk for Water took place and over $9,000 was raised to fully fund our 3rd water well for the Bukaali Village in Uganda, Africa, which is now providing clean drinking water to over 679 people!

  • August of 2013: The 429 Water Project received over $5,000 in donations to fully fund our 4th water well in the San Antonio Community of El Salvador, which is now providing clean drinking water to over 800 people!

  • March of 2014: The 3rd Annual 429 Walk for Water took place and over $16,000 was raised to fully fund our 5th & 6th water well in Mumutumba, Uganda and in Kiryanyonza, Uganda, providing clean drinking water to over 1,000 people in collaboration through the Thirst Project.

  • September of 2014: The 429 Water Bottle Project sold enough water bottles to raise $5,500 to fully fund our 7th water well in Nicaragua with Living Water International which now provides clean drinking water to over 500 people!

  • September of 2014: The Inaugural Hope City Volleyball Tournament took place and raised $5,500 to fully fund our 8th water well in Nicaragua with Living Water International which will be built in July 2015 to provide clean drinking water to over 500 people!

During the past 4 years, over $46,500 has been raised to fund 8 water wells and through this, over 5,479 lives are being impacted by this!

Thank you to everyone who made this possible, especially our great partners the Thirst Project & Living Water International!

The 429

Previously, Tabitha assisted with leading The 429 Serve Team, a volunteer based initiative made up of various volunteers who went out into the city of Houston and its surrounding areas to simply give back at least once a week, but at times, up to two to three times a week. The mission of The Serve Team was to partner with non-profits who are already doing work in their communities and provide a support system for them with volunteers and donations.

Through this, relationships were established in the Houston community, and by doing so, provided assistance in the following areas:

Loaves & Fishes Soup Kitchen: Assisting the homeless in downtown at Loaves & Fishes Soup Kitchen by cooking and serving breakfast

 sponsored by faithful volunteers.

Spring Spirit Baseball: Opportunity to provide mentoring and taking part in outdoor activities with at risk youth.

Heights Interfaith Food Pantry: Volunteerin to package food & giving it out to at least 300 people weekly.

Downtown Homeless Outreach: Partnered with Sam Houston State University to provide clothing and food to Downtown's Homeless

Highland Park Nursing Home: Visiting the residents at Highland Park Nursing Home by playing games and socializing with them.

Other Past Projects:

  • The 429 Serve Team’s own home restoration project where we maintained a home by painting, adding a concrete walkway, leveling and adding flooring to the home

  • St. Jerome Catholic School where we completed a brand new playground project

  • NGEN Radio Blanket Drive where hundreds of blankets were collected and given out to Houston's homeless.

  • Shoe Drive with Groob Shoes & Loaves and Fishes to provide new shoes to Houston's homeless.

429 Water Bottle Project

God's faithfulness NEVER ceases to AMAZE me! I'm blessed that God allowed me to begin my business venture that had been in my heart since last year. The purpose of this business venture is to be able to pursue my humanitarian passion by my business venture funding wells & other humanitarian efforts.

One of the desires I had was to come up with an idea that would constantly promote & support the water crisis...so I thought what is something that everyone buys & needs...WATER!!! So with the business that God has sent our way, I've been able to save funds for a new car that I've been wanting to get, however, I felt God so strongly put in my heart that I need to be faithful in the little so that He can entrust me with more...if I want God to one day grow my business venture to where I'm writing checks for thousands of dollars for humanitarian efforts, then why not start NOW with the little I have. I could choose to be selfish & keep this money for the new car I want or I can choose to be selfless & use these funds to have my business venture fully sponsor this water bottle idea I have that will provide clean drinking water to an entire community of people in other countries that lack this basic necessity that we take for granted.

So here it is!!! With the blessing of my amazing Pastors & with my amazing water bottle contact, I am proud to announce Elegant and Unique Creations is the creator & sponsor of these wonderful 429 Water Project water bottles!!!

God made this dream a reality as 1,726 water bottles were delivered to my home! Isn't God amazing!!! The 429 Water Project has already funded 4 water wells in the past 2 years & with Gods help more are going to be funded!!!

When you purchase one of these water bottles for $3 a bottle, 100% of that goes to fund a new water well & the BEST part is once all of these 1,726 water bottles sale, an entire water well is going to be FULLY FUNDED!!!

Thank you to Pastor Jeremy Foster & Jennifer Foster for their continual encouragement & support in my life to pursue my passion in helping others.
